Artist History Celebrating their 15th anniversary this year, Sweden's Entombed have progressed throughout the years into what can only be described as modern veterans of the metal scene. The band's unique concoction of death metal and rock 'n' roll has been an inspiration worldwide and has spawned many a new band. Entombed's 15 year history has seen the band release 8 full-length studio albums, tour the world - including support slots with Iron Maiden, nominated for Swedish Grammies on two occasions, and most recently, in their most daring adventure to date, provided the music for and performed with the Swedish Royal Ballet Ensemble at the Royal Opera House in Stockholm. The event was so well received that the band was commissioned to do repeat performances in the months following the opening night. One journalist was even moved enough to proclaim "This is the most powerful musical experience I have ever had...the result is so crushingly good I just want to scream out my joy...". Entombed's current release is 'Inferno', their eighth full-length album, which was released in summer 2003.
