Artist description
Whilst the band was composing new material for the successor of the 1999 demo, a major change in line up occurred. As a result, BOOST started to grow into a more recognizable sound, which entailed the band its own identity. The new songmaterial contained some more metalcore and rap streams, and vocals switched away from the mere typical old school sound. Trying to break free from the tendency to attach labels on music, BOOST is out to create its very style. Because of the fondness of bands like Stigmata, Pro-Pain, Fury of V and the old Biohazard, which all band members have in common, recent musical influences of BOOST may be attributed to bands like these.
In December 2000, BOOST entered the Midas Studios (B) together with producer Tony de Block. During two days, six new songs were recorded, which displayed the new style that had evolved in the last two years. Unfortunately, it took BOOST some time to release the new album, due to the absence of a band member because of obligations abroad. In the fall of 2001, the new album "LIKE ONE MAD" was finally released. "LIKE ONE MAD" received merely promising reviews; leading critics like Onno Cro-Mag (Aardschok) and MOW-zine praised BOOST for their quality and progress music wise.
As the release of "LIKE ONE MAD" resulted in lots of opportunities for the band to display their capabilities at many shows, BOOST has gained loads of live expertise. This has resulted in a tight sound at live performances and an energetic stage act. Yet, BOOST has played with the likes of Right Direction, Born From Pain, Tech-9, Second Chance, The Butcher, Liar, I-Reject, Maypole and many others. Today, as BOOST is busy writing songs for its new release, BOOST is eager to play as many shows as possible in order to be able to demonstrate their abilities!

Artist History
The Limburg-based band BOOST has been launched in the fall of 1997. After having played at several shows in the local area, the band released its demo "NO MATTER WHAT - 1999". This disk contained two studio tracks and four live-recorded songs, which displayed some straightforward oldschool hardcore. Having released this demo, BOOST got to open up for bigger bands at shows.
