Artist History The HLF started out as a series of friendships. Some had played together, some hadn’t, but there was a point at which each and every one of them was sick and tired of the drama that arose within their prospective bands. And so one day, they quit, they said "fuck it, enough of this bullshit". Lindsay said "Hey Mark, I know this kid Adam, he plays a mean guitar". Mark said, "What the fuck, why not. Let's give it a whirl." And so they jammed. Then jammed some more. By the time summer rolled around, they were dreaming of the big time. And so it went; from June two onward, they played a lot, but mostly for the hell of it. There came a point at which they had to make a decision. College it was. But something was amiss in the land of post-adolescence. Adam was not having the best of luck in Flagstaff, and Mark was anything but happy in Holland, Michigan. Lindsay, well, she said fuck college from the get-go. Then one day Mark and Adam had a conversation. It wasn’t all cheerful, but a decision was made. In one year’s time, they were to reconvene in their hometown of Holland, Michigan, to form what was to be the best rock and roll band this world had ever laid its eye’s upon. Our story begins here…
