Artist History
The Prime Ministers' history begins in a peaceful Detroit suburb called Rochester Hills, where its three members were raised in the same neighborhood and matriculated through the public school system on each others heels. Fated to band together, the Prime Ministers held their first band practice in 1996 in the Wicks family basement. They continue to practice there to this day. Singer/guitarist Todd Wicks found a kindred spirit in bassist Ned Friendship, whom he quickly recognized as a fellow musical Anglophile in 9th grade or so. Meanwhile, Joel Wicks (Todds younger brother), naturally inherited his position behind the drums, acquiring such volume and power over the years that his family was eventually forced to turn the closed captioning on to watch TV while he practiced in the basement below.

Prime polite pop with hints of Brit. - Detroit Metro Times
The rock and roll spirit prevails in the great state of Michigan thanks to the likes of the Fletcher Pratt, the Go and Moods for Moderns. Well, add the Prime Ministers to that list. Adding a bit of glam shout to their mod/ rock and roll workouts, the seven songs on THE LAST DAYS OF THE PRIME MINISTERS: leave you wanting more.- Shake It Up!
