Artist History The Farewell Reason, what the fuck is this? Well it is the band from Croatia, from Cakovec, small town situated in the north of the country near Hungary and Slovenia. And why we started to play? Well, we all played in a band together called Implicite (melodic hardcore) and we didnīt do nothing with it, we were just a band with rehersals once a month, we played nowhere, we just lost a will to do it. And we quit. And then after a couple of months without a band, doing nothing in our lives we just wanted to start something new, much more serious so we decided to start it all over again without the vocal from Implicite, just three of us, we had some songs and we started to have rehersals and started to make music. And first gig was in Cakovec, our hometown with our friends Nikad and Apfuken and reaction was pretty good, people liked us, ha,ha, at least they told us that and that gave us the power to move on. But we didnīt start the band because of that, we started it because we wanted to contribute the Croatian hard core scene and the hard core scene worldwide, to share our ideas, our emotions, ,our pain, our happiness, our tears with you my friend. We didnīt started it for some fake fame and money, we donīt care about bands that call themselves hard core and in the same time they sell their music for 20$ per CD or T-shirt, who plays in big clubs with expensive door prices, for money. They were never a part of that scene and never will, not in our eyes. Hard Core should be personal, not the music for masses, in small clubs, in fanzines, not magazines, TV and radio. Our music is what somebody called "emo", maybe, but we think it is hardcore. Our lyrics deal with our personal problems, lifes, what surrounds us in our everyday life so we called it "emotional heartcore" because we play it with all our hearts in it. Maybe you think emo is popular now? Well, what the fuck? Weīll see what will be next big thing. People change their selves but not what is in their heads and hearts if they really believe in what they are doing and if they believe in it they will do it. We just finished our first material, we did all by ourselves, record it at home, do a cover, release itâ€Ķ Punk and hard core is not some big studios, I thought it was D.I.Y., am I wrong or what? We are also active in other parts of the scene, Strija is playing drums for Outre (crust) and Youth Against (old-school hard core), he is doing web-design, Igor writes for several fanzines and starts a new one with a couple of friends, sometimes organize gigsâ€Ķ One of us is vegan and one is vegetarian, we sometimes supports some direct actions but we are not active in any collective. We would like to play all over the globe so if you can help us it would be great, we donīt need much, just gas money and I hope it is not much. If you can organize it would be great, we would be very thankful to you.
