Artist History Sweet Wind is a band with its heart set on sharing the love and mercy of God the Father that is revealed through His wonderful Son, Jesus Christ! Our desire is to reach the lost and encourage the Church to a deeper relationship with Jesus! He is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords! The mighty King of Glory and the humble Lamb of God! We delight ourselves in the mercies he has shown us and in sharing His grace with all who will hear! Sweet Wind’s music is the collective effort of five good friends from Madison Wi. Phil Staley is on guitar and lead vocal; Chris Stafslien, keys and lead vocal; Jerry Fitzpatrick, lead guitar; Don Pfotenhauer bass and John Remy on drums. Phil and Chris write most the band’s material. They have just released their new, self-titled CD, Sweet Wind. Phil’s song’s range from the “fresh, modern rockabilly” sounds of Your Steadfast Love and Everybody, to the intimate worship of Jesus, Oh Jesus. Chris’ sensitive keyboard and vocal styling can be heard on, I Wait, Empty Vessel, and the gentle, prayerful, Gratitude. Jerry’s versatile and powerful guitar work on all the group’s songs are worth the price of admission alone! And of course the “Don and John” rhythm bed provide the band with a firm foundation. Many who have heard us have encouraged us, to share our music, with a wider audience. We believe our primary message of a loving relationship with the Lord and the power of His mercy and grace to change lives will bring blessing, encouragement, and revelation to believers and unbelievers alike. Our bottom line is to help people to see and experience the measure of Jesus’ life that He has placed in our particular jars of clay! We want them to see His gladness firsthand, to hear His song of grace, and to know how much He loves all of His people (those who know Him now and the ones yet to come!). We are committed to demonstrating His joy, His forgiveness and His steadfast love, wherever and whenever He desires!
