I must say, I find it highly seductive, hypnotic and...I guess what I'm trying to say is, will you marry me?

Hi Leslie, I just was listening to the rest of your music... it's really good. Wow! I'm not saying that to impress you - I'm not a bullshitter, but your music has such depth, such longing and passion. Are these songs in response to the aftermath of one great love gone tragic or are they from a collection of past experiences? You sound like a creature of love - in every sense of the word... a need to give as strong as you get... to be immersed in it and have it be in all that you do. I bet you are a great friend. Boy, I wish was a poet sometimes - instead of being so visually oriented. I'm a little envious. Well done! Hey are you playing anywhere? I'd like to see you perform and catch your energy live.

Hey Leslie, I really liked your music. You have a terrific voice. It's haunting on Sweet Oblivion, and sexy on Commit The Crime. I also loved your lyrics. To me a good song is a story you can follow (That's why I love the classic American standards) and I really got a sense of the stories you were telling in the songs. My favorite lyrics were in Longing For The Future In Your Face. You're very talented.

Hey Leslie, I got a chance to listen to your MP3s. I really do like your style and voice. Overall, my favorite songs are Renegade and Sweet Oblivion. The lyrics and tonality really moved me on Sweet Oblivion (and listening to it right after Commit The Crime made you seem very desirable -- funny how music can do that to you). I liked Renegade a lot too, and thought even it had a bit of a Joe Frank / Laurie Anderson feel.

Interesting music there. Nothing like what I'm used to, so thanks for broadening my horizons. Obviously, yours are wonderfully wide open already. Influences? I hear Joan Jett and Lori Anderson (Superman circa 1980) in your vocals. This material is so varied...then I hear your admiration for straight rock guitars a la Guns'n'Roses. As for the poetic side: I hear that you're into the words, but not in any conventional, percussive use of words...in fact, as in Blue Light Love, it feels like you're more embracing prose -- the linear story form -- than poetry. The spoken word pieces were in many ways more unique (at times even avant garde?) and I respect the energy behinds them -- and, frankly, the guts to stick to your guns in creating what appears to be a wholly new genre (if that's possible?) -- for me, the sung pieces were more compelling.

How cool are you gonna get? I like it. Thanks for passing it along.
Rick
Very cool. Very different.

Three things are certain. Not only do you make good music, you are also very bright and love a good argument. Good lyrics, very sexy voice. You obviously put a lot of work and poured your soul into this project. I look forward to hearing all the cuts.

Laurie Anderson would be proud of you (she's a favorite of mine too). You're very talented. Your lyrics are thoughtful, abstract and funny -- and I thought you were quite bold not to shy away from politics. I found your sensuous vocals also very effective.
Charlie
Glorious!
