Artist History
So, Steve decides to form his own band. He`s played over 2,000 gigs with The Fall.
In 20 years he's made a living out of doing something he still enjoys, i.e. being a musician. As long as he continues to enjoy it, he`ll carry on.
They will be called: ARK (What else would you call yourself when you're anticipating a hard rain?)
Who's going to sing? They all decide to have a go. (It quickly becomes obvious they need a singer.)
Enter Pete Nakamura. Never been a singer, (or a hummer or a whistler, come to that,) but walks like one. Never been a lyricist either, 'til now, but now he really is.
Steve's brother Paul plays the drums.
Guitar will be provided by one Colin Burns. He stays up all night learning the songs. Fortunately, he always looks like he's been up all night, so it won't affect the band's image (!) on stage. Unlike most guitarists he manages to make enough melody for three but only enough noise for one.
It is decided that one Paul Hanley isn't enough. Enter Paul S. Hanley on keyboards. Related to the other two. Never looks happy to be there.
