Artist History
Volvonic began as the brainchild of Tokyo born Motoko Kawasaki. Motoko moved to Boston and in 1997 formed the band 'Cahies' with guitarist Scott Benoit. Seeking a new approach to rhythm and sound, Motoko and Scott formed Volvonic with rhythm section Dan Crow (drums) and Phil Jordan (bass) in mid-1999. Whichever way you perceive this band, the music is your own. At a time when the pop circuit of music seems like a done deal, this band will surely be as refreshing and challenging as a nightmare on the beach sipping margaritas. |
