Artist History
BIO
Born Daniel Stanfield on January 13, 1968 at the General Hospital in Los Angeles, I was raised in Pasadena California by my motherWyette Stanfield. While attending elementary school, I was involved in poetry recitings and school plays. I was always entertaining the other kids in elementary school on the playground by acting silly, and making up characters and funny faces. As a result I was frequently asked by my classmates if he was going to be a comedian.
All along while keeping my sense of humor, I managed to graduate from Blair High School located in Pasadena, California in 1986. Upon graduation, I immediately enrolled in Pasadena City College to pursue my education while writing, producing and performing rap songs as well as comedy for my classmates. In 1989, I earned my A.A. degree with the idea of pursuing my family's dream of becoming an attorney.
In 1989, while still enjoying my hobbies of entertaining, I transferred to Cal State L.A. and graduated in the Summer of 1991 with my B.A. in Political Science. In the Spring of 1992, I moved to Fullerton California and enrolled in the Western State University School of Law to embark upon the study of law. In 1994, I realized my true talents and abilities are much stronger in comedy so I decided to make a firm resolve and committment to pursue my dream job as a stand-up comedian.
In April 2001, I wrote my first stand-up comedy routine about "Jobs, Sloworkers and Stupivisors" as a result of my work experiences with corporate America andWarner Brothers Studios in particular. So far, I have performed my stand-up comedy routines for the Michael Colyar show at Club Ladera in Inglewood, The Laugh Factory as well as the Comedy Store in Hollywood. To this day, I enjoy spending my time making people laugh as a stand-up comedian who performs routines in comedy clubs all over Los Angeles in hopes of performing live on B.E.T. |
