Artist History
Taxi Driver was formed in 1988 by four musicians of the area of Toulouse (France). Serge Fabre, Nicolas Guiraudet, Philippe Lombardi and Alain Roussenac. They all came from more or less Punk/New Wave bands. They decided to go back to the eggs and mix these influences with original rock'n'roll. On stage, they played their own pop songs as well as r'n'b or rockabilly covers (roughly 100 shows in the area of Toulouse). In 1992, they become a trio and record a mini self-produced CD. In 1995, the group splits. They get back together in July 1998, to start on new bases. They work on new original stuff. The style is more nervous, more power pop... A new 4 titles CD comes out in January. |
