Artist History
Formed in New York City in the summer of '97. Prime Meridian has played many well-known NY clubs including Dharma, The Knitting Factory, The Internet Cafe, Le Bar Bat, etc. Currently featured monthly at the SoHo Caviarteria's Caviar Jazz Series. First tour Winter '99 with 8 concerts in India and Pakistan. Have also toured in the U.S.A. The group's members have individually toured, performed and recorded with the greats of all styles of music including Ustad Salamat Ali Khan, Sivamani, Steve Coleman, Branford Marlsalis, Clark Terry, Ray Bryant, John Scofield, Papa Jube, Jephte Guillaume and the Tet Kale Orkestra and many, many more. |
