Artist description
Pepe Alva's music is a direct reflection of a well balanced juxtaposition or two cultures. His influences rage from such Latin artist as Charly Garcia and Fito Paez, to some of the most respected Anglo/pop artists such as Sting and Dave Mathews.
His music also incorporates a solid understanding of his Peruvian roots, expressed through the implementation in his songs of the charango (an Andean 10 string guitar) and of the zampoņa (a native Peruvian flute). |
