Artist History
DANGER! Lo-Fi recordings ahead! Everything on this page was recorded on one of the cheapest "boom box" type cassette recorders that I"ve ever seen; we did our best, when mastering, to sweeten it up but it still sounds like it was recorded in a Cape Cod cellar (which it was).Mindfield was a project that took place in June of 1993. The principle players came together in a very random way, all being old friends or aquaintances who happened to be back on Cape Cod that summer. We played 4 or five practices a week for a month, then the band parted ways having never played a show. The music here is some of the most affecting and personal music I've ever played (Tracy), which is rather odd given that I wrote the basic part for only one of the tunes. I love these sessions, and it is with the greatest pleasure that I bring them out of storage and release them here, six years later. |
