    Artist History
So what can we tell you about ourselves? Let's just say we're just some ordinary guys with some overblown aspirations. After having victimized the gamut of contemporary popular music, dabbling in every conceivable style, from braggadocios arena rock to the self conscious stylings of the "socially conscious" alternative rock bands, we finally came to this…….music that just makes us feel good. Uh Huh…..It all started with a curious brand of self deprecating songs but done with an exotic blend of Indian and eastern rhythms,a bit of rock, all topped off with a dash of D.C. (where we originally escaped from) Go-Go and funk. Basically just a joke……..or so we thought! Imagine our surprise when out of nowhere we noticed people not only getting into it, but also having a PRETTY DAMN GOOD TIME. ….and that's how it all began. Then we slapped it on a tape and called it "Samosa Nostra", and that was that.Look up our web site for more info....

Still Lunchin' by "Gravy Train" Johnson Once again we’re back in Hell’s Kitchen at Glue Trap Studios. It’s got the same smell but something seems to have changed. Apparently the mice have eaten the cockroaches or vice versa and I’m troubled by an Indian man apparently meditating in the corner. I somehow get the feeling that maybe HE ate the mice and the cockroaches, just a hunch. Soon Alan comes out of the bathroom, with a smile on his face, and introduces me to the newest Lunchin’ member (I couldn’t agree more) Sanjay—the narcoleptic Indian. Alan tells me how Trent has apparently joined some cult and although still in the band he hasn’t been seen in months, wearing pants anyway. "I think he ended up producing some film or some shit like that. He wants us to do some music for it but won’t let us see any of it, says it will rob the film of its soul if anyone looks at it. Yeah, fuck if I know." Alan then plays their latest release, Samosa Nostra, and I’m immediately struck by the lack of any electric instruments. Alan says "yeah, we blew all our money on the first CD and I couldn’t pay the electric bill, it sort of limited our options…..I am pretty happy with the results though and figure what the hell, might as well stick with it, plus electricity is really fucking expensive!!!" I was puzzled how they actually recorded it, but felt it best not to ask. Suddenly I’m a bit startled by Sanjay chiming in with "yeah, and having no lights really helps our self image too." He then falls back to sleep. Alan says Sanjay is responsible for the new "ethnic" (he actually signs this with his fingers in that annoying way people do) direction of the music but admits it was hard to record in between his snoozing. "It got to the point where he had to sit down all the time when he was singing cuz he kept falling down and banging the shit out of his head, and then of course I’d have to kick him while he was down there, you know, just cuz I could. I hired a couple of chicks to pee on him one time but he didn’t even notice. That was a waste of fucking money, man." Sanjay now comes to and starts talking about TV like he was just watching it or something. It seems he can name the entire TV schedule for the week from memory. "Yeah, I learned English from watching TV and I’m not gonna give up on it now, it's like my best fucking friend Alan says the annoying thing about this is the fact that Sanjay has to wrap up every conversation or problem within half an hour, "we’ll be yelling at each other about some shit and suddenly he’ll just smile and change the subject. Funny thing is the next week at exactly the same time he starts that shit right where it left off. Anyway, it just took some getting used to. Yeah, summer really sucks cuz he keeps repeating himself. Oh well, time to hunt down some food."
