Artist History
LUNCHBOX SOCIAL was formed in Toronto around the song writing core of Leo Troy and Darko Gavrilovic. In 1993, when they were known as The Resistance, Leo and Darko released an independent self-titled recording, and won a 1994 FACTOR Award for song writing. The rhythm section of the band found it’s stride with the addition of Rob Sethi in 1997, and Rolf Fiesel in 1998.While playing regularly in the Toronto club scene, LUNCHBOX SOCIAL released an independent seven song CD titled "Expensive Mistakes". The CD was recorded and produced by Juno award winner Norm Barker and LUNCHBOX SOCIAL. Three songs from the CD, "Desperate Measures", "Wish That You Were Here", and "Running From Lorraine" appear on the sound track for "Just Another Night", a film produced by the Addiction Research Foundation. Publicity Contact: Ruf Edge Productions (416) 699-9744. |
