Artist History
Harrydash is a four piece modern rock outfit, with influences from the Stones to Radiohead. As a Bandemonium judge quoted “like a mixture of Possum Dixon and The Beatles on steroids”. Rock ‘n roll with a dash of punk thrown in. Harrydash has toured successfully with acts as diverse as Seven Mary Three and All American Rejects. Performing at venues as varied as The House of Blues and Disney’s Main West End Stage. When not on stage Dashers have their songs on MTV’s Real World and Road Rules. Tv programs, NBC’s “Third Watch”, Levi jeans commercials, and upcoming movie “Failures” which was scored by Paul McCartney band mates Abe Laboriele Jr. and Brian Ray. Dash has recorded four cds; all of which have sold out. Their most recent effort was produced in Santa Monica by Jim Wirt and PJ Smith of Incubus, Hoobastank and Something Corporate fame. This year the national booking agency APA, Beverly Hills took notice of the band and has placed them on the Florida leg of national tours. This fall harrydash is planning to tour with Something Corporate on an extended tour of the U.S., up the east coast and into the West.

Press Reviews
Weekly Planet - A few of the songs, especially the single-in-waiting Turn You Round, balance anthemic hooks with mountains of corrosive guitar, countered by floaty sectionsthat give way to still further crescendos..... and unlike most of todays modern rockguitarists, Richard has a love and knack for solos. His Big Finish improv on PlanetaryMan calls to mind prime Pearl Jams capacity to raise gooseflesh. - Eric Snider. ---------------Orlando Sentinel - Harry Dash probably remains airborne while onstage more than anyother act that gigs regularly in Orlandos clubs. The bands twin-guitar, modern-rockattack and Beatlesque vocals are accompanied by countless flying leaps and PeteTownsend-like gymnastics. Harry Dash are heavily influenced by British rock ? from thewhite blues of early Fleetwood Mac and Cream to the more mod stances of the SmallFaces. The result is a tight four-piece rock band that borrows from the past withoutstealing from it to head toward a future as bright as the harmonies that illuminate itssongs. - Matt Keleman. -----------MTV Online - A collection of six superb songs, Harry Dashs self-titled EP is by far thegreatest local CD ever released in the Tampa Bay area. As it smacks you in the face, youwake up to the stinging guitar of Control For Now and are only seconds later showeredwith vocals closely resembling that of Thom Yorke, Radiohead frontman. A greatintroduction is the key to Planetary Man, an effect-packed trip into some of Tampaspremier local rock. To top off this unbeatable record is Been Thinking About it, a liveversion. You may remember this track from a series of Burdines commercials featuringthe best of local talent on a statewide level. With records like this one, it is easy to see whyHarry Dash is taking the music scene by storm. - Blake Steck, for MTV Feedlocal Tampa/St. Petersburg |
