Artist description Goodness got together sometime around Summer, 1994, and with the show-stopping vocal superstar Carrie Akre (formerly in Hammerbox) in the front position they quickly became one of the hottest bands in Seattle and the region. Adding the strong guitar presence of Danny Newcomb (ex-Shadow, ex-Cheap Ones) and Garth Reeves (ex-Nubbin, Evening Special), the percussions of Chris Friel (ex-Shadow, Give, El Steiner), and the exceptional vocal and electric bass talents of Fiia McGann (ex-Animal Kingdom, Miracle Baby) provided the impetus to carry Goodness past the automatic first stage rocket-boost of having Carrie Akre at the helm. On Goodness' debut CD, the songs, written and arranged primarily by Carrie and guitarist Danny Newcomb, feature strong power pop progressions, crunching, stinging guitars, and heart-stopping transitions that keep the music jumping from a fast and furious start with Superwise, to a slow and thoughtful finish with Between You and I.
