Artist History
We've been together since 1995, and have released three CDs. We've been playing in and around New York City, and are doing more traveling all the time. Our recent CD, "Dig This!" is currently on a lot of college radio charts, they tell me it'll hit the top 200 soon. |

Lucky #13 (April ’99)
If I were to take a long car trip, I would not be upset if Dead Left’s new CD "A Wishful Life" was the only one I had. . . If I had to categorize, which happens in this industry, I would have to call them one word, “Brooklyn.” Don’t ask me why.

Vol. 13 #1
Dead Left has become the 4th most added record on the National CMJ charts Dec. 21st, 1998, as well as 1st spot on the triple A charts. They are able to put a spell on the listener and hold them with their talented singer and guitarist Aaron Stroessner. . . Tight and confident drums and bass, creative and catchy lyrics, the whole picture takes form and the magic of the band is completed.
Dead Left has been compared to a grunge-pop band but I think they shouldn’t be labeled because they surprise you at every turn . . . This band gives off great energy and they can easily enchant you with this album.

The new CD from the New York based quartet Dead Left takes the outwardly simple and very familiar format of a rock quartet with two guitars, bass and drums, and creates interesting and appealing music. The group's composing is its strongest facet. Every piece on the CD has some inventive turn, from the jazzy harmonic structure to melodic lines that don't go where you would expect them to go. Aaron Stroessner's vocals are very likable, and the band's overall musicianship is thoroughly tasteful.
Dead Left serve as a good reminder of how a very familiar musical configuration can be made to sound fresh again.
