Artist description
C2 is an italian rock band that writes, plays, records and produces its own music at home with a PC-based recording studio. The C2 are based on their songwriter/singer/guitarist Claudio Campa. Some review says that C2's songs sound Beatleish! Yea, it's what we want! |

Artist History
The first C2's live performance took place in 1974 in Rome, San Vitale church, when a little boy, Claudio Campa, played the pipe organ for the bishop's Mass. The name C2 will come a bit later, when Claudio joined Space Engineering Spa in 1996 as a hardware designer, and he was very disappointed to discover that his initials, CC, had already been used as computer name in the company's LAN. So he chose C2, meaning C*C, or C square. Why not to use C2 also for the band? After all, the U2 have a similar name and they are quite good. In December 1998 Claudio bought a suitable computer for multitrack audio recording and the C2 took off... |

Press Reviews
"Play it again, Dad!" [Marco and Carlo Campa, 6 and 4, Claudio's sons]; "Stop playing now, the kids have to sleep!" [Silvia, Claudio's wife]; "Wake up and smell the music. This one, from Italy is Fellini with a soundcard." [WTFC Station, featuring "The Sleepwalker"]; "Proving that you don't have to be from San Francisco, or Liverpool, in order to make fine psychedelic music. You can also be from Rome, Italy. Guitars swirl like spagetti on a fork, with or without cheese on top!" [The Psychedelic Circus Station, featuring "The Sleepwalker"]; "Who says that all Beatlesque songs have to come from the UK or the US? This is an Italian band, and this song is very reminiscent of the Hard Day's Night period." [The Beatles Factor Station, featuring "I'm gonna try"]; "The C2 are simply fantastic, I should ask Claudio to replace John and play something with me, George and Ringo..." [Paul McCartney, (I'm not sure he said exactly these words, but I'm sure he thought that)] |
