Artist description
Whoosh! is a pop/rock duo comprising Jane-Marie Evans
(acoustic guitar and vocals) and Andrew Dawe (lead guitar
and vocals).
Whoosh! are multi-award winners. Their song, "Soul Searching"
co-won SCALA's Festival of Original Music 2000 Live Section,
and can be heard on SCALA's compiliation cd, "All Over Your Face".
Their song, "Miss You" was highly commended in FOOM in 1999 and
"Fun to Furious" was commended after making it into the 2001 FOOM
Live Grand Final.
With catchy melodies, strong vocals, acoustic guitar driven songs
with some very wicked lead guitar, Whoosh! turn heads wherever they
perform. Their performances are tight and energetic - showcasing how
well they work together and how much they compliment each other. |

Artist History
Jane-Marie and Andrew met in October, 2000 at their hairdresser
in Aldinga (Adelaide, South Australia). Such a chance meeting
was obviously meant to happen, as they got together a few days
later for a jam, and have been performing together ever since. |
