Artist History In the fall of 2001, the Skammunists were born. Guitarist Pete and high school buddy tromboner Dan decided they'd start a band instead of studying at college. As luck would have it, Dan was talking to trumpet player Chris who was starting a band of his own with fellow marching bandos Ben (singer) and Sean (sax), and they combined the two small fledgling bands into one large fledgling band. Through a series of lucky accidents they added Mike (trumpet), Omar (Trombone), Pat (drums), and Biz (bass). A school year of wild parties (complete with cop raids) culminated in a first place finish at the ND Battle of the Bands. Between school years, Ben, Biz, Dan, and Pat had to leave. Fortunatly, the band was able to find some new kids in Matt and Bucket (that's his name, really!) With at new line-up, the band is ready to roll, providing Notre Dame with peace, ska, and brewhaha.
