Surrealestate is a long-running improvisation group of variable membership founded by saxophonist Robert Reigle.
Their music is mostly improvised, often guided by original text or graphic scores.
They have also performed pieces by Charles Ives, Ornette Coleman, John Cage, Giacinto Scelsi, and Cecil Taylor.
