in historical order: Pink Floyd, Einstuerzende Neubauten's 'Kollaps' (1980), the '92/93 netherlands hardcore, the mid 90ies punk, the mid 90ies german experimental techno, the '96 UK drum&bass, Ninja Tune, Fatboy Slim, Audio Active, Squarepusher, late 90ies free/fusion jazz and the MOD sound |

Artist History
1980: i was born ;)
about 1987: first contact with PCs, DOS
1990: i start to learn Pascal (programming language)
1991: got my first own PC (i486-DX50), experiments with the PCspeaker
1993 : try to learn to play guitar, immediately stopped
1995 : i discovered PCM ('wav'), programming language now Delphi
1996: produced first 45min tape (rotterdam hardcore / noise like), now on P54/75mhz
1997: first album, more into experimental, sampling only
1998: i really started tracking like hell, first steps with wave synthesizers, now on K-6/266
end '98/99 : cooperations with other musicians, bought second K-6 (350mhz)
1999: mayor software updates, start to 'master' my tracks
2000: bought new PC (Athlon/1200), but it takes the same time to produce a track (processor demand of one track must have increased about 100x since i started), using DX, nearly stopped makeing music (army, university etc.)
2001: bought a MIDI keyboard and started using VST, now working nearly-pure in 24/32 bit
2002: well this year just began... |
