Artist description The music of Honest Touch is a crossroads of Acoustic piano, Neo-classical, New Age Pop and Orchestral music. The virtuosity of a soloist, the rhythm section, orchestral arrangements, and song form, all converge for one purpose: an attempt to 'touch' the listener in a sincere and affective 'tone', making him/her contemplate, sometimes even arouse; yet to be enraptured by images created by the balance of continuous beautiful melodies, ambient harmonies and lush, fluent orchestrations.

Artist History Honest Touch is an instrumental duet formed by Lucia Maniadaki and Samy Elgazzar. Lucia and Samy met early in the year 1999 in a music conservatory where both were professors. Their distinctive passion for Classical music, New Age music, Jazz and Film music created the momentum to unite and fulfill a common vision: a music that fuses the aesthetics of both Classical and Contemporary music. Six months after they first met, Lucia and Samy started playing their music under their real names (Lucia & Samy). Their first concerts were as guest artists with a 5-piece band. In the winter of 2000 they exchanged their names with the duet title "Honest Touch". A multifaceted title, its main suggestion is the duet's wish for a sincere relationship among people, a unity bonded by respect, consideration and genuine love; "Honest Touch" was also an inspiration from Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam". Their first appearance with a larger ensemble was in the summer of 2001 in a Music Festival with a 12-piece orchestra. Currently, Honest Touch is recording their pieces for the release of their first album while seeking sponsorship for their future concerts with larger ensembles.
