    Press Reviews
I first cought wind of these guys from royce nunley (who produced their CD and recorded it at ring side studios) during an interview at the Blueprint 76 show held at St Andrews (detroit). Tony asked of any up and coming bands Royce knew of and without hesitation he rattled off HV. This got me thinking and prompted me to contact the band. The Villains hailing form Northport MI (you know where that is? Neither do I, but heard it's by traverse city) and were more than willing to send me a CD to review and put on the site. This was about 3 weeks ago (sorry guys). Encouraging seeing as how the only reason I didn't review it sooner was because I was looking for something that I didn't like. Lemme tell ya, it was hard as fuck to find something I did'nt like about it. Granted, it was not really the run of the mill punk rock, but actualy something that seems to be done by trained musicians. Pretty wild since they've only been playing since 99 and the oldest member in the band is 19. The song that stuck out the most was a song titled "Ode To Silence". this song was just so tight and Josh's druming was just unbeliveable. The triplets he was puting on that poor kick was just amazing. After seeing them live on Nov 3 these guys realy showed that they can kick some ass. I urge you to see them if you ever get a chance and I'm sure that if all goes well, you'll hear more from them soon and I'll try to get an MP3 up of theirs. In the mean time check out their site http://heroicvillain.20m.com/ for more info on the band. ~*~from www.punkandjunk.com~*~
