Artist History Chrystina Lloree is a singer/songwriter that has been on a musical journey for well over a decade, but in some ways, she's just beginning. Growing up, singing started in church by age 3 and never stopped. After a couple of moves, her family settled in Southern California, and her love for music began to take a serious turn towards building what she knew would be forever with her. By age 16 she started writing her own songs and formed her first rock band. That led Chrystina to performing in clubs on the notorious Sunset Strip club in Hollywood. There she began packing the clubs out and people took notice of this young girl in the mostly male dominated rock scene. " I was selling tickets for my shows to my friends and whoever else would buy them, handing out flyers, trying to build a 'following' so that the place wouldn't be empty when I played. I also was working part time and having to keep up with my grades. There was such a deep desire for what I was doing, it seemed like nothing to juggle all of that. Looking back on it, I was just going on pure drive, and passion." Those LA shows led to attention from labels, but it also led to a lot of frustration. "The people that approached me all wanted to turn me into their ideas. None of them were on the same page with me. At that time, labels weren't eager to sign a girl in her teens that wrote her own songs, had her own ideas, and who also wanted to rock! They were trying to convince me that I just wouldn't be marketable in a rock category that I should be singing about puppy love and hanging out at the mall." Unwilling to compromise, Chrystina decided to keep writing and stay focused on what she wanted and where she wanted to go with her music. Fastforward to Atlanta, GA, where she has built a body of work and the road wounds to prove it. After spending 4 solid years of blood, sweat,and tears on the road with a rock band of great talents, it was time for a new chapter in her life. She is standing in the middle of what is to be her finest work yet. Captivating, candid, and inspiring songs are the beacon of where she is. Her voice is a unique mixture of richness and bareness that doesn't try to over-do, but is capable of letting you have it when she wants you to. Combining rock, pop, soul - with a definite edge, the songs are laced with infectious melodies. She skillfully shares an intimacy with the listener. There is a connection made. " I want my songs to be honest and real, " she says, "and hopefully get stuck in your head at the same time." That rawness is unveiled in her songs "Strength", "Unglued", and "All Your Promises". They express the depths of hurt, depression, and loss, but beautifully temper with faith and hope prevailing. "Glitter Girl" is crafty little didy revealing the life of a self assured super star and life as they know it. Chrystina Lloree is on her way to creating songs that time will never forget. She is drawing from the artists that have inspired her throughout her life and the deep faith that she shares, and through that, is sure to ignite inspiration through her own songs. The pebbles are just beginning to turn on the musical road she's on.
