Betty Ween lives between two different worlds with very different rules. That’s where she got her name, Bett-y-Ween!
Betty Ween won the Roxy Music Competition in the year 1999 in Istanbul.
Gülüs started her musical career as the lead vocalist of a Belgian rock band named Sister Luck, but after a few gigs, she decided to go for her own thing and began composing for this new project she would call Betty Ween. She has worked with some musicians well-known in the Belgian and Turkish underground environments as well as the international jazz music environment.
In 2003 her first album went out (www.elec-trip.com). |
