Artist History
Canadian born to Jamaican parents, Maxyne moved to Atlanta to showcase her alluring, signature voice, fierce songwriting skills and funky, trend setting style! Maxyne's musical roots stem
from singing in church and school choirs. She constantly dreamed about a career in music but was encouraged not to pursue it. Raised in a single parent household, Maxyne's mother was more
concerned about ensuring food and a home for her 4 children. Investing time and money in dreams that had no guarantees was not an option. Despite the lack of support from her family, Maxyne
began researching and educating herself about the music business. She joined a band without her mother's consent and started performing at local gigs. She parted the band to pursue a solo career
and was chose to share her talents at the "NXNE Festival" (Toronto, Canada). She was elected radio programmer of a weekly show and was designated to coordinate music conference/panels in her vicinity.
After performing in several regional shows Maxyne desired to seek out more opportunities away from home, so she prayed and decided to continure pursuing her destiny in "Atlanta". In Atlanta less then a
year, this rising star's presence is increasingly being noticed. She is blazing stages in Atlanta with "tha ladies club anthem: "I'M NOT 4 SALE!" Her second release entitled "BACKSTABBERS!" has Jamaica's
hypest DJ (aritst). Presently touring in the southern region Maxyne will be coming to a city near you SOOOON!
