Artist History Godless Truth was founded in 1994. The line-up was different from the current one and they recorded "Another Disease" (1994) demo and "Desperation" (1996) album which was released by L.M.B. productions on tape at first. They recorded also two-song promo which was later added as a bonus for CD version of „Desperation“. Then big line-up changes came. In 97/98 all the band members were kicked out, only Petr (g) remained and Zdenek, the band’s manager at that time, became a new singer. The band got an offer from French based label Deadsun Records. They’ve decided to release „Desperation“ (autumn 1998) on CD at first and then they prolonged the deal for another album. Godless Truth stopped playing gigs in 1998 due to line-up problems. Michael joined the band in spring 1998 and the band started to work on new songs. After looking for a new drummer they decided to record „Burning Existence“ with a session drummer Olda. The recording took place in January 1999 at Exponent studio, Slovakia. In April 1999 Jirka „George“ joined the band and stayed in the band until today. The band started to play gigs in June 1999 with new songs and played a mini tour with LIVIDITY (USA), FLESHLESS (Cz) and SANATORIUM (Svk). Then they did summer festivals in Czech where they got very positive reactions from the fans. In August they set first bigger tour with PESSIMIST (USA) and FLESHLESS. The second album „Burning Existence“ was released in October. They did some gigs with CENTINEX, UNDERTAKERS, HARMONY DIES, INHUMATE, DEMENTOR and other until the end of the year. In January 2000 they’ve returned to the studio and recorded one-song promo “Predermined Disfiguration” to present themselves in the current line-up with George on drums. This songs is featured on several compilations, incl. Brutal Assault festival CD a.o. They did another euro-tour with Belgian PREJUDICE in March/April 2000. They also played some gigs with FLESHGRIND, COERCION, RESSURECTED a FLESHLESS. The whole summer season was started by a successful tour with Japanese VOMIT REMNANTS and FLESHLESS. Then Godless Truth played OBSCENE EXTREME fest, NUCLEAR STORM fest and BRUTAL ASSAULT fest where they played right before headliners Macabre and Mortician. The talks about joining the team of SHINDY Productions has started in the autumn 2000. All that culminated at the biggest euro-tour of Godless Truth „Kill the Weak Europeans“ up to date which took place in October/November 2000 which was played with Californian killers DISGORGE, included 18 gigs in 10 European countries and ended up by signing a deal with Shindy Productions for GT’s 3rd album. „selfRealization“ was recorded between February and April 2001 at Exponent studio and was released in June 2001 by SHINDY Productions.
