Artist description MRC Records is owned by Dan Catlin and Michael Chaveriat. This page serves as a webring of sorts to MRC artists. This small indie label, based in Valrico, FL, is home to the scene's most important producers and artists in the Valrico area. MRC artists include Syphon, Marc Speed, DJ Soulfire, Whispering Minstrel, Devil's Sound Machine, and The Karma Kings. The MRC roster runs the gamut of electronica, be it the digital hardcore/darkness of Syphon to the ambient world fusion of Whispering Minstrel, to the bubbly dance anthems of DJ Soulfire.

Artist History MRC Records was formed in January 2001, to release the music of Syphon to more than a handful of neighborhood chums. Now its 2002, and the roster has expanded to include drum'n'bass guru Marc Speed, post-rock god Whispering Minstrel, dance-floor boss DJ Soulfire, evil monsters Devil's Sound Machine, the kings of eternal chillout, The Karma Kings, and humorous old-skool producer Cowman. Now, MRC Records has created Fashioned From Wire Records to serve the indie rock community.
