    Artist description
B.L.X. (BassLine Xcursionists) is an 8-man hip-hop collective composed of 5 MCs, 2 DJs and one beatman. We represent Los Angeles, California, and we have assembled the total package of musical genius, magnetic charisma and business acumen with which we plan to monopolize the market for real, raw hip-hop in the 21st century.

    Artist History
B.L.X. has been rocking shows and moving units in the Southern California area as Gershwin B.L.X. since 1998. We release records independently and promote them through good old-fashioned gab, hustle and constant performing, opening for groups like the Hieroglyphics, Xzibit, Kool Keith, the Alkaholiks and the Pharcyde for crowds from Atlanta to Tokyo. Our first project, VocabuDrab Sessions 96-97 pushed 5,000 units, finding its way across the West Coast, Atlanta, New York, Europe and Australia. B.L.X., in conjunction with TheMixTrix Records kicks off 2002 with the official release of Gershwin B.L.X.’s second full-length, Sunch Punch, which will be followed by the 12” release of SP’s first single, “Boma-Ye” in the spring, courtesy of Belgian independent powerhouse B9000 Records, promoters of the summer 2002 B.L.X. European tour. Japan and Hawaii shows are also in the works for 2002, along with a slew of statewide dates.
