Artist History We sort of.. got together and formed a band.. what else can I say. Ok, so that was just the beginning. Originally we were just five friends looking to have a good time. At some point along the way that all changed. Three of us decided we wanted to take the band in a more serious direction unfortunately that meant finding two new members, but here we are once again. Press Reviews Gentleman Junkie opts for a droning brand of rock that tethers a fine line between Pearl Jam circa Ten, and Incubus' relaxed ocean of grooves. However, the band struggles to coalesce their competent guitars and solid backbeat with the singer's conflicted vocals, which jump between a deep Vedder-like baritone to a Boyd-ian tender murmur. On their four song demo, the band seems locked in a mid-tempo lull until the momentum builds for the churning closer, "Big O." Gentleman Junkie has the right framework in place, but just needs to continue to expand their dynamic range.
