Artist description The band is based on synthetic sounds, with an emphasis on vocals, grooving beats and melody. Terje Vangbo is the singer and lyricist of Cue to Recall. Born in 1970 and brought up in Oslo, Terje got impulses to his music through the new-romantic movement in the eighties and the underground musical environment in and around Oslo. He is inspired by gothic rock as well as electronic music. Bernd Lohse is the composer and keyboardist of Cue to Recall. Born in Germany in 1969, Bernd has roots in EBM and Industrial, but has made some techno and ambient oriented music, too. He grew up in a small village near Neumünster, in Northern Germany. Since 1985 he has spent most of his sparetime exploring the vast world of synthesizers. He moved to Norway in 1998.

Artist History Cue to Recall was founded in January 2000 in Oslo. The singer Terje Vangbo advertised in the magazine "Musikkpraksis" hoping to find a soulmate musician. He got lucky and received a positive response from Bernd Lohse. Their first gig was at Pigalle (Oslo) 18th of May 2001, followed by gigs at Jazid (Oslo) and at Dis Café (Fredrikstad) in November the same year. From spring to november 2002 Cue to Recall were accompanied by 2nd synthplayer and 2nd vocals, Kristine Bogstad. After several gigs in year 2002 Cue to Recall received broad public recognition at Oslo Synth Festival, 9th of nov 2002.
