Artist description
“Chiller was formed as more of a musical collective then a band. The whole project was devised to break free from the stagnant scenes, surrounding Philadelphia. We were all tired of music too hard or pretentious to dance to and music too serious to actually enjoy. Don’t get me wrong I love the heart of West Philadelphia, It is the last musical frontier for the area, but its not friendly by nature, you are either in it or against it.” explains front man Seph Gorgar Argonaut Emperor.

Press Reviews
“Chiller” was formed in 2001, from the ashes of an Independent Rock Project started by Seph Gorgar Argonaut Emperor, which was named the Ghost and Garden Structure. The project was just barely completed, due to an arrest warrant issued for one of its members. This prompted a regrouping period where, Seph engaged the partnership of an old friend from school, whose name was Rosso. Rosso was an underground telephone terrorist and graphic designer from the inner workings of Philadelphia’s primary music scene. The early partnership launched a collaboration of ideas and music, which eventually became what is now known as “Chiller”. During this time the Demon Empire Recording Company was being formed to launch Chillers initial “I Went Down” E.P.. Which gave us the underground hit “Pound the Pussy”, a cover of a song by the anti music establishment know as “Dog Dix”. They also shot a video for the song “I Went Down” which depicts, just how strange or how serious they actually are. Their music falls into a dark 80’s synth pop category but with lyrics borrowed from an angst rid teenager or a twisted Alice in wonderland nightmare.
