Artist description Billy T is the Dance music side of Award winning Jazz violinist Billy Thompson http://www.billythompson.co.uk. 28 years old and a professional musician since graduating from music college in 1995, Billy T has performed in many live settings involving Dance Music. Since receiving Prince's Trust funding this creativity has gone into the production of his own music incorporating Pro Tools and EMagic Logic Audio Platinum. Billy T performs in Night Clubs with DJs adding an effects filled melodic angle to select dance tunes which gives a new meaning to the word 'uplifting'.

Artist History Billy T (Billy Thompson) is a classically trained violinist. Graduateing with an honours degree from the Welsh College of Music and Drama studying with technique professor Dona Lee Croft and Jazz piano legend Keith Tippett. Billy was finalist in the Young Jazz Musician of the Year competitions of both 1996 and 1998 and is indeed the only person to have reached the final twice. One of many results of these competitions was that in 1998 Billy joined Barbara Thompson & Paraphernalia, Britains most successful Jazz Fusion outfit for the last 20 years or so. Touring around Europe and the UK including Ronnie Scott's in London proved to be very much to Billy's liking and he is keen to acheive similar hights off his own back.
