Artist History
Aaron and Curtis have been friends since they were 11 and 12 respectively. Curtis has played fiddle since he was 5, later adding bass and mandolin. In highschool Aaron, who couldn't play anything had the wild idea to start a band. Curtis found this idea most amusing and Aaron had never played anything and couldn't keep a beat. In '96 Aaron had learned a little bit of guitar, and we we're joined by Melissa McConnell, our singer and Devin DeAngelo, our drummer. We played a few shows as a band called Eureka!, then Melissa went to college, Devin was killed in a severe gardening accident, and Curtis and Aaron reformed as Uncle Mike. We played mostly John Denver covers. When Aaron started writing songs we were joined by a drummer named Brian, but he lated choked on vomit... we're not really sure if it was his vomit... you can't really dust for vomit. Curtis was also in a band called Chamber and when they broke up we got their drummer, Barat... who is thankfully still alive. |
