Artist History
The strangers formed in the summer of 2001. They are composed of Bret Palmer, Jeff Milberger, Nolan Miller, and Ryan Holm. Bret plays guitar, Jeff plays guitar and piano, Nolan plays the drums, and Ryan plays the bass, while all three guitarists share vocal duties. The band is based in Topeka, Kansas. All four members are seniors in High School. Bret, Jeff, and Ryan attend Washburn Rural, and Nolan goes to Seamen. In November of 2001, the Strangers started to lay down the tracks to their first demo. Recorded in Bret's house on his home studio, with additional recording in Jeff's house at his studio, recording continued into January of 2002. In February of 2002, Ryan Holm joined the band to play the bass. Over spring break we re-recorded the first demo and crafted our true demo, "Spring Break." Currently the Strangers are focused on writing new songs and getting some gigs. |
