Artist History
The members The 2600 Project have been playing together off and on for the past six years. They began playing in death metal/hardcore bands in the mid 90's, but were unable to find a permanent drummer with the same interest. They have become increasingly displeased with the current state of rock music, with every new band keeping the "seattle sound" and never coming up with anything new, they thought it was time for a change. The name "The 2600 Project" comes from Jake's obsession with 2600 magazine and the word project added, because the music will be ever evolving project, never sticking to one style or sound. |
