Artist History
Before more than 10 years, my brother (drums) and I (guitar)
made noise in our cellar and played all the old Metallica songs (I love them!).
Then came Britta to us, a girl playing bass and with the knowlegde of
playing classical instruments as well. This was a big
step for us. The last member was Marcel with his
amazing vocals from hell. Hehe
Grin exists now about 6 years in this same Line-up.

Press Reviews
Reviews are only available for our last CD (1999)
because the very new CD is in promoting process, now.
Also, most reviews were not in english language, sorry!
Baal from A World Below Zine:
"I love it! It's very original and the bass work is killer!!"
Deathbringer Zine:
Yes, I adore such metal always! GRIN are playing natural hateful metal
combined by old traditions of thrash and power metal of 80's and some
influences from Schuldiner's DEATH. The technique of hold by instruments
is just amazing. Sound is exploding per invariable vibrations of double
bass, guitar riffs are heavy, melodious and unforeseen, drum's beats and
fractions are distinct and manifold. Vocal as it must be in thrash -
genuine wicked and hateful (do you remember Mille Petroza?). This 4 piece
band during five last years is trying to resurrect thrash metal and it's
not something miraculous, 'cause in 80's Teutonic thrash ruled on scene
(recall KREATOR, DESTRUCTION, SODOM). GRIN is progressive incarnation of
that old metal on the scene 90's. Listen to GRIN, it may help you.
Tatiana Barros form Renegade 2000 (Brazil):
9.0 out of 10.0
... it brings to us 5 tracks of an amazing and powerful metal with clear trash and death metal
influences from the 80's. I could also see a lot of experimental stuff on their work.
Another good band showing us that metal can be enovated without ruining it's essence.
You just have to be creative enought to turn something that was used years ago and make it
sound current. That's the only way to keep metal alive!
The bass line is very strong in all songs merging perfectly with death metal riffs and gutural vocals
in Obituary style.
