Artist History
Frigate formed in Boston a few years ago when Scurvyann Bean and Tim Gillis decided to join forces. Scurvyann's brother John came aboard after hearing their relentless and loud rehearsals through his ceiling (Scurvy lived right upstairs). In true DIY fashion, the band released a three-song demo soon after forming, which received great reviews in the press and notice from radio. In their short history Frigate have become known for their sonically charged, highly entertaining live shows and their onstage antics, both of which have helped them gain a loyal following.

Press Reviews
Frigate are an unabashed run at taking goodtime punk storming into the new century, two minutes at a time. Start with the Ramones...do I detect traces of I Wanna Be Sedated and Pinhead? Add a splash of Rezillos and a dash of The Offspring, and there you have it. - Belfast NewsLetter
