    Artist History
Crazy Sadie was formed in 1997 as a three piece groove band. The original line-up consisted of Russ on vocals, Wilf on Guitar and Karen on Bass. The band used a Drum machine instead of a live Drummer. In 1998 they were joined by Lloyd on Keyboards and in 2000, former Black Fedora Guitarist Ian, took over from Karen on Bass. In 2001 the band decided it was time they needed a live Drummer and have been joined by Colin, former skin basher for Quick-Hi.

    Press Reviews
Loud and proud metal band Crazy Sadie say their music is a mix of modern drum machines, vocal effects and synthesisers, combined with more traditional distorted guitars, writes Carl Eve. Knowing where your music is coming from is clearly important to this band which names Trent Reznor's Nine Inch Nails and Ministry as fair comparisons. Promoters of the Army and Navy, Chelmsofrd and The Ruskin Arms, East Ham have praised the bands second demo tape "Dial C For Crazy" and this has led to tonights gig at the Ruskin Arms. The three track tape contains the songs Murderland, Hell In Mind and Approval. Murderland is heavy on the electronically distorted vocals of singer Russ and contains a thumping rhythm guitar, bass and drum machine, but it doesn't lift enough. Hell In Mind has some very cleaver cross-speaker fading and sound effects, but you need to flip the tape over to hear the best track - Approval. The keyboards by Lloyd have more input and this gives a fuller richer sound. Dial C For Crazy bodes well for Crazy Sadie and their next demo should prove very accessible for those who haven't caught them at one of their recent gigs.
