Artist History
In the 1970s I played in bands in central NJ including Tophet, Dry Bones, and Brain Damage. I also attended the University of Rochester, where I helped form the "Music Interest Floor" (special interest housing that survives today) and studied at the Eastman School of Music. In the 1980s I played violin in a chamber orchestra in Charlottesville, VA (another violinist in that orchestra, Boyd Tinsley, is now in the Dave Matthews Band). Later I moved to Houston where I continued to play in symphony orchestras. I was also involved in public radio during the decade, first as Music Director for WTJU-FM in Charlottesville and later as Operations Director for KUHF Houston Public Radio. In the 1990s I played viola in the Hunterdon Symphony Orchestra in central NJ and wrote program notes for some of their concerts. |
