Artist History
HISTORY:
MINDBREAK was founded by “Josi” and “Der Kommandant” in the winter of 1997 as a strictly two guys hardcore project....but we are happy that things don’t go their normal way! *****************************
So, let’s call a spade a spade: MINDBREAK is a Death Metal band now, with a few hardcore
elements. The change came with our singer “Bullut”, he entered the band in spring 1998. A few month later we got our bassplayer “Maddin”. MINDBREAK was completed.
A lot of gigs followed and in February 2001 we recorded our first 4-track-demo-CD:
“Welcome to this world...” Our debut reached a lot of ears and got very good critics in several German Mags and Newspapers. Next steps are maybe a little tour through the east of Germany around the months of December, January of February. But before we want to record a new CD...to reach the next step: More brutal Death Metal!
*******************************************
SOUND:
MINDBREAK’s music is hard, partly fast and sometimes dragging and heavy. A varied mixture of Death Metal and Hardcore, influenced by Doom;
Mot the usual simple riot but hard stuff with requirement.
Monster riffs melted with infernal drumwork meet a charismatic frontman.
Music to mosh and listen to!**********************
The MINDBREAK guys call their sound DeathMetalCore.
But what the fucking hell means that? – Simply answered, the sound is defined as Death Metal influenced by the raw aggression of Hardcore. Driving and emotional but always with enough mosh and groove......so we are NOT an emo band! But you also find slow and doomy fragments as well as psychedelic interludes.........but everything is always dominated by huge malice riffs!

GIGS, ETC:
We played together with well-known bands like “Raw Power” (Italy), “Planes mistaken for stars” (Denver-USA), “Steakknife” (EX-Spermbirds), “Drecksau” and “Quest for rescue”, “Entrails Massacre” which are well-known bands in Germany.
Of course we played tons of gigs with underground bands (Hardcore, Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Punkrock, Goth, etc...)
*********************
Our German press-kit includes several articles and reviews of German magazines and papers!
