    Artist History
The year is now 2003, mEchanical sOul:the Terraformer is now setting the new standards for the music of the future. With the doomy gothic debut release Doomed At Birth, there was a very clearly seen evolution occuring within the music that was screaming out for the final stage of conception. V7 began the recording of the follow up 4our Elements and after the first two songs had to shelve the project as the music was evolving too fast and needed it's room to breathe, the two songs were released in the form of a music video that was aired on the local cable station. the follow up to those songs had to wait for nearly 2 years for V7 to perfect his new style. Thus Industrialize was born. After Industrialize, two more albums were being written, Grinding Machine and Chapter 4. Chapter 4 was shelved as the darkness on it was too drastic of a change, despite the heaviness and doom and gloom of previous material. Grinding Machine showed a complete evolution into the Industrial front, but where some industrial artists focus on the vocals being the most prominent feature of a song, it was instrumental for all but the title track. The time had come for 4our Elements to be completed. When in the studio a new felt energy of pounding rhtyhms, danceable beats and harsh electronics and guitars pushed V7 toward his new goal- "I wanted to play the heaviest fucking music that people can dance to"Recording a follow up single and remix Dead Things Better Forgotten, a new vision was filling the mind of the composer. The Crispy Smagma Sessions, hard hitting bouncy and harsh electronics balancing around guitar riffs and leads that could peel the paint off a wall, with some songs disregarding musical concepts like rhythm, listenability, intelligible vocals and poking fun at the state of the music world at every chance. "One song(Blood Fetish:Altar of Pain) I did just for the fact of how heavy and unlistenable it could be, and I did vocals to sound even more obnoxious that some of Cronos' work with Venom. No disrespect, I love Venom, but his vocals do have an very grating effect on most people. Then I have the line making fun of Linkin Park in Skull Fuck. The mix of rap, pop, hardrock and boybands just makes me vomit."After The Smagma Sessions, an intense time of writing and recording began "I cannot sit still for long, in my head I get these visions and concepts and they haunt my dreams until I complete and record them. When the time came for Oppression, I was also writing the one I'm working on now(Nuclear Winter) and on the Oppression disc I added the synth and drum machine parts for a few song that will appear on Nuclear Winter. The albums are now telling a story, they're all concept albums that just hit a nerve with people. Either you like it or you don't for the most part. The people who hate it are still sitting down to listen to it and giving it a chance. Nuclear Winter is the true debut of my new music genre RivetCore. A mix of extreme metal, industrial, techno and noisecore." Between Oppression and Nuclear Winter, a single Manufactured Artificial Numbness and the tenth release ZEHN were recorded. "ZEHN has this underproduced and underbudget sound to it, but it reflects the material on it, underappreciated is the word, not to sound selfish but that seems to describe the vibe. The people in the songs, the music, the production, was all set to have an under- appreciated vibe, because that's how I felt about my music and myself at the time." ZEHN also marked a point in V7's life in which everything was falling apart. Homeless, unemployeed and getting by doing yardwork and babysitting jobs, depression set in at the worst in his life. "Some people think I was turning suicidal, almost, but not quite, I never seriously contemplated it at that time. What I was worried about was getting by and getting signed or at least finding a job to get a new apartment." Now V7 is getting everything back on track, Nuclear WInter sounds "Fuc- king amazing" and his band Sinfected is almost ready to play their first show. "From here the future looks good. From here, I feel like I am the future." Time will tell.
