Artist History
Indy NoseBone is best defined as a unique blend of heavy grooves with melodic undertones presented in a finely polished, highly energetic live show. Appealing to a wide variety of different crowds has been their edge in becoming a dominant force in their local music scene. Indy NoseBone prides itself on not conforming to the flavors of the week but instead utilizes the diverse influences of each member to conceive a fresh sound that has been well received throughout mid–western Canada.
2003 has been a busy year for Indy NoseBone, starting it off with a late December early January Western Canadian tour that featured a new years eve show with west coast heavyweights Noise Therapy. Presently, Indy NoseBone is putting the final touches on their sophomore EP. The EP was recorded at Mosh Pit Studios, a world-class production facility in Vancouver, BC. Consisting of three songs, the EP was produced by Noise Therapy front man David Ottoson and will prove to be a statement of Indy NoseBone’s undeterred quest to be a definitive presence in the Canadian Music scene. |

INDY NOSE BONE - Indy Nose Bone
Independent
Indy Nose Bone is a terrible band name (even if
it is a snowboarding trick as the group claims).
But on the other hand, awful three-word band names
are a staple of Canadian rock -- Our Lady Peace,
Rainbow Butt Monkeys, I Mother Earth, etc. --
so these guys are in good company. That also goes
for their music, judging by this self-titled
seven-track EP. This Transcona quartet traffics
in the same sort of energized post-grunge alt-rock
as nearly every other Canuck rock band with a
record deal. And if the soaring vocals, grindingly
melodic guitars and hyperkinetic drumming on
these tracks are any sign, we wouldn't be surprised
if they end up with a deal of their own in the
near future. So what's in a name?
