Bolf's boys consist of Brad McCarty on drums (Pony vs. Tiger, Bob Rising and Scenario, Fakir), Patrick Bromley on bass and vocals (Fourth Grade Nothing), John Sprenger on lead guitar (Stop the Ride, Glutton, Spastic Colon), Rich Schultz on guitar and vocals (Stop the Ride, Bob Rising and Scenario, Glutton), and Doug Schultz on vocals and guitar (Fourth Grade Nothing, Bob Rising and Scenario). Why must you see this band? According to Bolf Krenger, "This is the best goddamn group of kids I've ever worked with--they'll knock your socks off!" Anyone who knows Bolf and his high standards will tell you how hard it is to earn this kind of praise. Josh SlykFyst clearly remembers the day Bolf saw his band Dry Captain at the Damp Hive in Blown Grove: "That guy ripped us a new a-hole. I mean he said stuff like, '...after ten minutes into their set, I had to leave to go puke behind the club--[these guys] remind me of dog poop.' Totally harsh..." And that's just one of Bolf Krenger's many trademark scathing reviews. Clearly, YesMen must be something special--special enough for Bolf to take under his wing. See them once and you'll know what Bolf Krenger is made of. These five have been drawn together in a continued desire to make good music. Brad, Patrick, John, Rich, and Doug have all tasted rock's robust flavor. They started out playing cover songs--any cover song that another band mate wanted to play. Their motto became, "Yes, we will play that song. We cannot say no!" Hence the name and spirit of YesMen.
