Artist description
Some Great Angst is the faith-fueled figurehead of the struggling Nashville Punk Scene. Coming straight out of Belmont University, the band isn't trying to revolutionize punk rock, but is instead holding true to the purest aspects of the sound, playing hard, fast, loud songs that are short and to the point. Though a very young band (member age or length of time together, take your pick) the boys of SGA are constantly playing, winning a healthy following in a scene dominated by hardcore and emo music. What keeps the guys going? The desire to carry the Word of Jesus Christ to the masses, by any means necassary. |

Artist History
The four members of Some Great Angst met at their Freshman Year Orientation at Belmont University. Realizing they were all sporting punk rock t-shirts and a common love for Jesus Christ, the guys immediately decided to start a band once the year began. They played their first show in just a little over a month of being together and continued to play around Nashville whenever they got the opportunity. In January of 2002, SGA went into the studio and came out with their first full-length album, "Stupid". Sticking to their DIY approach, the boys completely took control of marketing and selling the record, which has received rave reviews. |
