Artist History
The original Kaizer Soze formed in 1996 in Macon, Georgia when college mates John Dan and Jamal
Hafza met at Mercer University. The band has a fan base of 1000 + by playing clubs like Club, Hard Rock Cafe, The Masquerade, Dark
Horse Tavern, and The Riviera. Their funk rock roots have developed into a heavier , more aggressive rock sound that compares to Incubus, Linkin Park,
and Rage Against the Machine.
Although the band has a heavier edge sound the vocals of Jamal Hafza carry
a melodic, lyric laden role. The rhythm section, consisting of Jahiem Nelson
on bass and Jabaar Rivers on drums, keeps all of Kaizer Soze's music flowing
from carefully orchestrated verse to chorus. The guitarist John Dan, a
classical guitar graduate from Mercer University, writes riffs that are not only
technical but also catchy with a lot of hooks. With each individual having their
own influences, all completely different than the next member, Kaizer Soze
brings a sound that is different but doesn't lose the crowd in a mess of
technicality. All of Kaizer Soze's songs sound different but maintain the
consistent element of catchiness and originalit |
