Press Reviews
Roses For Kitty, Roses For Kitty
It's only fitting that Roses For Kitty cover Fred Neil's "Dolphins" on its debut CD. The vocals of RFK frontman Freddie
Shaw Anderson often sound remarkably similar to the late folk singer's, and the songs on this debut CD live in the same
neighborhood as Neil's once did. Heartfelt, poignant vocals glide over quiet, jazz-inflected pop provided by such
Bloomington luminaries as Karl Corts, Jason Wilber, Cathi Norton, and the late Tom Moeller.
But this is Anderson's show from the get-go, his introspective lyrics and soothing baritone providing the perfect mood for the
11 tracks on this CD.
